The WDO is organizing an evening of discussion on account of the documentary 'Saving Africa's witch children'.
The documentary 'Saving Africa's witch children', made in Nigeria, has been an eye openener for many. The maker of the film Gary Foxcroft, will show us a scene from the documentary and he will discuss the situation in Nigeria. He is the co-founder of the NGO Stepping Stones.

Erwin van der Meer will talk about the research he has done in Malawi where children are also being accused of being witches. He works together with Peter Stael, founder of the NGO Across Outreach in Malawi.
After these introductions there will be a short break to get some refreshments. Then we will start the discussion. We will discuss questions such as: Why is it such a big problem in these areas in Africa? What effect do these accusations have on these children? Who are we to create a solution to this problem? Do these NGO's have a solution that can work?
